Lifestyle

Gifts, accessories and small useful luxuries

Presents for people who make things, plus pin cushions, thimbles, home textiles and the small odd objects that make a workroom feel like yours.

Choosing a gift for someone who sews

  • Consumables are safe: thread, floss, needles and good scissors get used whatever the project.
  • Avoid duplicating tools unless you know what they already own.
  • If you are not sure, tell us what they make and roughly what you want to spend and we will suggest options.

Materials and care

Textiles and accessories list their material and care instructions where the maker provides them, so a gift arrives with the information the recipient needs.

Questions people ask

What is a good gift for someone who sews or quilts?
Supplies they will use up are the safest choice: quality thread, embroidery floss, sharp scissors, marking tools or a fabric bundle. Tools are riskier because many sewists already own their favorites.
Do you offer gift wrapping or a gift note?
Tell us when you order and we will leave the prices off the packing slip and include a short handwritten note. Contact us with the message you would like.
Can I return a gift?
Unused items in original condition can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Cut-to-order fabric and made-to-order items are final sale because they are prepared specifically for the order.
