Why natural fibers

Cotton, linen, and hemp take heat, so you can press a seam properly. They breathe in summer, take dye in deep saturated color, and soften instead of pilling. They also wrinkle, shrink on the first wash, and need prewashing.

Sewing with a large-scale print

Big motifs need simple shapes. Cut single layer so you can place the print deliberately, keep the boldest area off the bust and seat unless that is the plan, and buy an extra half yard for placement. Where a print repeats at a measurable interval, the listing gives that measurement.

What we publish

We publish fiber content, weight, usable width, and any certification a supplier has documented. Where we do not know the mill or the exact finishing location, we say we do not know rather than filling the gap.

Questions

Are these fabrics organic?
Only where the listing names a specific certification and the supplier has documented it. We do not apply the word loosely.
How much extra should I buy for a large print?
Add about half a yard for placement, and more if the print has a direction or a repeat you want matched across seams.
